How and who does Bowen therapy help?

Bowen therapy is a versatile method that can help a wide range of clients.

It is an ideal choice for anyone seeking a natural way to harmonise, relieve pain, regenerate and improve overall body balance.

Bowen therapy can help in the following ways

Pain relief

Therapy is effective for chronic and acute back, joint, muscle or cervical spine pain. It gently but effectively relieves pain and brings comfort - without invasive interventions or chemistry.

Relaxation and sleep support

Gentle techniques help relax the body and mind, which contributes to improved sleep quality and overall psychological well-being.

Recovery from injury and sports performance

Accelerates recovery of body tissues, relieves muscle congestion and helps prevent injury.

Improving mobility and posture

Helps to release stiffness, correct incorrect posture and restore the natural balance of the body structures. It can contribute to greater ease of movement, promote correct posture and improve overall body balance.

Stress Reduction

Therapy harmonizes the nervous system and helps relieve anxiety, depression, stress reactions and tension.

Harmonizing the internal organs and promoting health

Works deeply on the internal organs, promoting their proper function, thus contributing to overall health and vitality.

Jumpstarting the natural process of self-healing

Activates the body's natural healing potential, allowing for more effective regeneration and healing.

A path to balance body and mind

Helps restore physical and mental balance, calm, energy and stability.

A Holistic Approach to Your Body

Therapy views the body as an interconnected whole. It gently influences muscles, fascia, ligaments, internal organs and the nervous system, promoting comprehensive regeneration and harmonisation.

Gentle and extremely effective method

Bowen therapy is gentle but very effective and you often feel the results after the first visit.

Manual therapy focused on exactly what you need

An individual approach focused on specific difficulties brings long lasting results.

The Bowen Technique is not a treatment for autoimmune diseases in the medical sense, but may be a useful adjunct to alleviate some symptoms and improve overall well-being. Clients with autoimmune diseases often experience pain relief, improved mobility and reduced stress. Examples of autoimmune diseases for which the Bowen Technique may be helpful (especially in supportive therapy) include:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis

  • Lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus)

  • Multiple sclerosis

  • Hashimoto's thyroiditis

  • Crohn's disease

  • Ulcerative colitis

  • Psoriasis (psoriasis)

  • Scleroderma

  • Sjogren's syndrome

  • Celiac disease

It is always advisable to consult the treating physician about the suitability of the Bowen technique.

The therapy can be particularly helpful in relieving muscle tension, relieving stress and improving overall quality of life.
